Billing, cancellation and refunds

This page is part of the joeybmaps Terms of Service. It covers what you pay, when you pay it, and how to stop.

The short version

1. Try it free for 14 days. Every paid plan starts with 14 days free. A card is needed to start. It is charged automatically on day 15 unless you cancel. Cancelling during the 14 days costs nothing.
2. The annual plan is a 12-month commitment. The price you see is the Annual plan, billed monthly. Ending it early after the 14 free days costs 50% of the monthly payments left in your 12 months, charged once.
3. Annual plans renew. They renew for another 12 months unless you cancel. We email you 30 days and again 14 days before each renewal with the price and the cancel link.
4. Cancel online in two clicks. Go to Settings, then Plan and billing, and press Cancel. Any fee is shown before you confirm.
5. No refunds after the 14 free days, and no tax added. The price shown is the price you pay.

1. Who you pay and how

• You pay Baldwin Integrated Solutions ("Baldwin Integrated", "we", "us").
• All payments go through Stripe, by card or bank, using Stripe Checkout.
• Prices are in US dollars.
• Only the owner of a world can choose its plan, see its billing or cancel. This happens in Settings, under Plan and billing, inside the world.
• Plan and billing shows your plan, billing option, next charge, term end date and invoices. You can update your card there.

2. Plans and prices

Every paid plan has three billing options. The Annual plan, billed monthly, is the default and the price shown everywhere.

• The Free plan is $0 and never needs a card.
• The Annual plan, billed monthly, is a 12-month commitment, paid in 12 monthly payments.
• Month to month has no commitment and costs about 30% more.
• Pay for the year is paid up front, with two months free: you pay for 10 months and get 12.
• Business Operating System has a 12-month term only. It is available on the Annual plan, billed monthly, or Pay for the year.
• The Plans page (/plans) shows everything each plan includes. Section 3 lists the parts that affect billing.

3. What each plan includes each month

• Your first session with Joey is complimentary on any plan.
• Small changes to existing tiles are part of every plan from $999 a month up.

4. The 14 free days

• Every paid plan starts with 14 days free.
• You need a card to start. You add it in Stripe Checkout.
• On day 15, your card is charged automatically for the plan and billing option you chose, unless you cancel first:
  • Annual plan, billed monthly: your first monthly payment. Your 12 months start that day.
  • Month to month: your first month.
  • Pay for the year: the full year.
• We email you on day 10 and day 13 with the charge date, the amount and the cancel link.
• Cancelling during the 14 days costs nothing. Paid features stay on until the 14 days end, then your world moves to the Free plan and keeps its data.
• During the 14 days, your world has the activity allowance of the plan you are trying.
• Included sessions and build hours start on day 15. Your first session with Joey is complimentary at any time.
• The Free plan never needs a card.
• Each world gets one 14-day free period, and so does each person.

5. The three billing options

Annual plan, billed monthly (the default)

• This is the price shown everywhere. You pay it each month for 12 months.
• It is a 12-month commitment. Your price is locked for those 12 months.
• At checkout, the 12-month term and the early-termination charge appear next to the price, and you check a box to agree. Your confirmation email repeats these terms and includes the cancel link.
• It renews for another 12 months unless you cancel (section 6).
• Ending it early after the 14 free days has a charge (section 8).

Month to month

• No commitment. It costs about 30% more than the Annual plan.
• It renews each month until you cancel.
• Cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. There is no early-termination charge.
• Not available for Business Operating System.

Pay for the year

• Pay for 12 months up front and get two months free: you pay for 10.
• It renews for another year unless you cancel. We email you 30 days and again 14 days before each renewal.
• If you cancel, there is no refund. Your plan runs to the end of the year you paid for and does not renew.

6. Renewals and reminders

• Annual plan, billed monthly. At the end of each 12-month term, the plan renews for another 12 months unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Pay for the year. At the end of each year, the plan renews and your card is charged for the next year unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Month to month. The plan renews each month until you cancel.
• Reminders. For both annual options, we email you 30 days and again 14 days before each renewal with the price and the cancel link.
• Price at renewal. Your plan renews at the price in the reminder email. A price change always comes with at least 14 days' notice (section 17).
• After a renewal. The new 12 months carry the same early-termination charge, and there are no new free days. The reminders 30 and 14 days before renewal give you time to cancel.

7. How to cancel

• Cancel online at any time with the Cancel button in Plan and billing. It takes two clicks.
• Before you confirm, the screen shows what will happen: the date your plan ends and any early-termination charge, in dollars.
• After you cancel, we send you a confirmation email.
• Only the owner of a world can cancel its plan.
• If you cannot get into Plan and billing, email support@joeybmaps.com from the owner's address. That cancels your plan the same way, effective the day we receive it.

What happens next:

When a paid plan ends, your world moves to the Free plan and keeps its data.

8. Ending the annual plan early

• During the 14 free days: nothing to pay.
• After the 14 free days: a one-time charge of 50% of the monthly payments left in your 12 months.
• Your access continues to the end of the month you have paid for. Then your world moves to the Free plan and keeps its data.
• The amount is always shown in dollars before you confirm.
• When it is charged: to your card on file when you confirm.

Worked example. You are on Personal Basic at $99 a month and cancel after 4 paid months.

• Payments left: 8 (12 in the term, minus the 4 you have paid)
• Value of the payments left: 8 × $99 = $792
• Early-termination charge: 50% of $792 = $396, charged once
• Your access continues to the end of your fourth paid month.

The charge for each payment left:

• Deleting your account while on the annual plan ends the plan early. The same charge applies, and we tell you the amount before you confirm.
• Month to month and Pay for the year have no early-termination charge.

9. Refunds

• Every paid plan starts with 14 days free so you can see everything first. After that, payments are final and there are no refunds.
• This includes monthly payments, Pay for the year, early-termination charges and credit packs.
• If we charge you by mistake, email support@joeybmaps.com and we will correct it.
• Where the law requires a refund, we will give it.
• Payments for sessions, the mapping program and builds are final too. Sessions not yet held can be rescheduled under the session rules in section 15.

10. No tax added

• No tax is ever added. The price shown is the price you pay.
• This applies to plans, credit packs, sessions and builds.

11. Failed payments

• If a payment fails, you have a 7-day grace period. A banner in your world asks you to update your card.
• If the payment is still not made after 7 days, your world moves to the Free plan. Your data is kept.
• On the annual plan, moving to the Free plan this way ends your 12-month term. The missed payment is still owed, and no early-termination charge is added.

12. Changing plans

• Moving up. Upgrade at any time in Plan and billing. You pay the prorated difference for the rest of the current billing period, and the new price applies from then on. Your data comes with you.
• Moving down. On Month to month, a downgrade is prorated as a credit on your future payments, never as cash. Your data is kept. Tiles over the new plan's limits lock and show "Upgrade again to see this tile". People over the limits become read-only until you choose who stays. Nothing is deleted.
• On the annual options, an upgrade keeps your current term's end date, and a downgrade takes effect at your next renewal.
• Changing billing option. From Month to month, you can move to the Annual plan or Pay for the year at any time. The annual options can switch only at renewal.

13. AI credits and credit packs

Monthly AI credits

• Every plan includes AI credits each month for everyday AI use. Section 3 lists them by plan.
• They reset each month. Unused monthly credits do not carry over.
• You can see where your credits went, by tile and by agent, at any time.
• At 80% of your monthly credits, you get a heads-up.
• At 100%, with no pack credits left, AI features in your world pause. A message offers two choices: Top up credits or Upgrade. The rest of joeybmaps keeps working.

Credit packs

• Packs are one-time purchases through Stripe Checkout. They do not renew.
• Pack credits are used after your monthly credits run out.
• Pack credits roll over from month to month while your plan is active.
• Packs are non-refundable.
• Pack credits stay usable while your account is open, including on the Free plan. If you close your account, you have 14 days to reactivate it and keep them; after that they end.

14. Activity allowance

• Every plan includes a monthly activity allowance. Section 3 lists it by plan.
• Activity is counted in Operator Points, which people earn by doing things in tiles. You can see your activity this month in the Points pill.
• The Radial is unlimited on every plan. Points earned in the Radial never count.
• Only what people in your world do themselves counts. Points from imports, agents, Start here, and work Baldwin Integrated does in your world do not count.
• On the Free plan, the allowance is 250 points, or activity on 4 different days in 30 days, whichever comes first. A day counts when someone earns 20 or more points outside the Radial that day.
• The allowance resets each month.
• During the 14 free days, you have the allowance of the plan you are trying.

If you outgrow your plan

• At 80% of your allowance, you see a heads-up and a plan comparison.
• At 100%, you are asked to move up, with the next plan named.
• On paid plans you have 3 days before anything changes. On the Free plan, the next step happens right away.
• After that, every tile except the Radial becomes read-only until you upgrade, your month resets, or Baldwin Integrated waives it.
• Nothing is deleted. You can still open, view and export everything, and the Radial keeps working.
• Business Operating System has no cap.
• Personal Deluxe has no read-only step. If you reach its allowance, Baldwin Integrated will contact you about a custom plan.

15. Mapping sessions

• Every session is one hour.
• Your first session with Joey is complimentary, on any plan.
• Sessions included in your plan start when the paid plan starts, on day 15. Section 3 lists them.
• On Personal Basic and Personal Pro, sessions are $250 each.
• Mapping program. 12 sessions for $3,000 ($250 a session). The corporate rate is 12 sessions for $6,000. Personal Basic is included while the program runs.
• Sessions you buy separately, and the mapping program, are billed by a Stripe invoice that Joey sends.
• Included sessions do not roll over to the next month. To reschedule a session, give 24 hours' notice.
• A session missed without 24 hours' notice counts as used.
• The mapping program is paid up front by invoice, and its 12 sessions are used within 12 months. When the program ends, Personal Basic ends too and your world moves to the Free plan unless you choose a plan. Nothing is charged automatically.

16. Builds

• A build is a new tile, command center or custom system, or an existing tile adapted for you.
• Every build is estimated up front from your map, before anything is built. You decide whether to go ahead.
• Builds are billed at $350 an hour, plus the AI used for the build.
• Each month's invoice shows the hours and the AI line by line.
• Nothing is billed until Joey sends you the invoice. Invoices are paid through Stripe.
• Small changes to existing tiles are part of every plan from $999 a month up.
• Business Pro includes 8 build hours a month. Business Operating System includes 20 build hours a month and a priority build lane.
• Unused build hours do not roll over.
• Invoices are due on receipt.
• Joey asks you before a build goes past its estimate.
• The AI used during included build hours goes on the build invoice.

17. Price changes

• We will tell you at least 14 days before any price change.
• The new price starts at your next renewal after that notice. On the annual options, your price does not change during a 12-month term.
• On Month to month, the new price starts with your first monthly payment at least 14 days after the notice.
• If you do not want the new price, cancel before it starts.
